About Us
The Knights of Columbus, founded by Father Michael J. McGivney, is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization. Today there are more than 2M Knights serving around the world. In 2020 these Knights contributed 77M service hours around the world and donated $186M to our charities.
It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.
Council 4851 Knights and their families serve our community by sharing their time and/or talents in Council events. This time, supplemented with donations, help local charities help the mentally or physically handicapped, youngsters in distress, and unborn children: Marian Center for Developmental Disabilities, Special Olympics, Schott Communities for the Deaf and Disabled, Covenant House Florida shelters for homeless youth, Respect Life Ministry, etc. Donating our time, we support our Churches' events while, at the same time, sharing a Catholic family life, meeting new people and having fun. For more details, please see Activities and Faith in Action pages.
